Beginning Reading Program

The Beginning Reading Program is a comprehensive project offering information and resources on how young Filipino students best learn to read, why so many struggle, and how schools and other caring stakeholders can help.

The Beginning Reading Program is comprised of modules prepared for trainers, teachers, school heads and supervisors.

The program is an initiative of the Department of Education and the Basic Education Assistance for Mindanao.

The materials aim to inform, advise and inspire parents, teachers, childcare providers, administrators, Instructional Managers, Teacher Education Institutions and others who touch the life of a child by providing accurate, accessible information on how to teach Filipino children to read and help those who struggle.
